Lia Kloud releases the audio for “Area Code” on Spotify. Here is what Lia Kloud had to say about the song, “’Area Code” is a song where I talk about how it is growing up in Ottawa, Canada (613). Ottawa is a very cold city, we are located in the North on the map. This past year I’ve been going through many different phases where I have been falling out with a lot of people I thought I’d never lose, I have met a lot of people who didn’t have good intentions for me, I think the right way to say it is I have been getting my circle cleansed. I remember I was at work when Sweezy sent me a text saying “Check your gmail, new fire beat”. Couple hours before that, I had gotten into an argument with this boy I used to talk to who also lives in Ottawa. The first two phrases that came to my mind while listening to Sweezy’s beat were “Don’t try to start sh*t, I swear you’ll regret it. I’ve got some cousins who really be with it, for me they’ll come pop shit.” I’m very hot headed so when I’m mad, I tend to seek revenge on the person who’s hurt me. The rest of the song speaks for itself, It took me 25 minutes to write it, it really came from real emotions I was feeling that morning at work because of that one boy.”
