King Bogus is the personification of “Why not be both?”, life is too short to be too uptight, and life is too fickle to be too reckless. King Bogus preaches being able to wear a suit and still be yourself. Often seen in a blazer with a tie and a blunt in his hand, King Bogus offers a different outlook on living life. Coming from a military family he has moved and lived in all kinds of places, from the slums to the suburbs.
King Bogus marries the ideas of black excellence and ignorance, on the song “I’m With My Negus”, with witty wordplay and ratchet undertones. When it seems you either have to be conscious or street, King Bogus asks, if its my life why not be both?
