“Better Late Than Never” is an upbeat, jarring rock song that has a goal of uniting listeners together. As the debut release from Kelsey Marchman, the song speaks to how she was feeling about the racial injustice protests. The lyrics speak to the anger and abandonment Marchman has seen and felt by just simply being Black. People are now finally realizing how deep rooted racism is and they are joining in on the protests. It’s been a long road but Marchman believes that it’s better for people to see the light now than to not see it at all. With the help of producer Travis Moore and drummer Pat Gerasia (The Violent, Red Sun Rising), the song was brought to life with hard hitting drums paired with hip-hop beats, heavy guitars, and tight production.
